HSE inspection of fall and trips in construction

HSE recently made an extensive checks on fall in trips in the construction industry in UK. They gave some good photos of good and bad practices. The photos will be very useful for trainings and promotional material. Click here for the photos.

Tower crane collapse at worksite in National Univerity of Singapore

Based on the report by Straits Times three workers were killed when a tower crane collapse at a worksite in the National University of Singapore (my alma mater). This blog has photos of the accident scene.

Fall prevention campaign in Australia

Working at height is a high risk activity and a high percentage of construction accidents are related to falls. Fall prevention/protection is currently one of my key research areas. Hopefully the campaign generate publicly available data for analysis…
